October 2009 Active Club Program
By Netball SA
The Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing, Hon Michael Wright MP, has opened applications for the first of two rounds of the $2.3 million Active Club Program for 2009-10.
The Active Club Program provides financial assistance to eligible sport or active recreation organisations to develop and expand the services they provide, thereby increasing community access to quality active recreation and sport activities and facilities. To date, there have been 26 funding rounds, allocating more than 5,700 grants totalling over $23 million.
There are three Active Club Program funding categories:
· Programs and Equipment · Facilities · Youth At Risk
Guidelines and application forms are available from the Office for Recreation and Sport Funding Services Branch online at www.recsport.sa.gov.au or from the office. We encourage any organisation wishing to apply to contact an Active Club Program Funding Consultant on 7424 7708 to discuss a potential project and/or obtain a copy of the Application Pack. Applications close on Tuesday 6 October 2009.
In order to assist community-based clubs with their applications for funding, the Office for Recreation and Sport will be conducting several funding workshops.
Five funding workshops will be conducted in locations across the metropolitan area. Registration is essential. Phone Funding Services on 7424 7708 or email ors.grants@saugov.sa.gov.au .
